Here are some examples of the photos I took for the cover and inside my music magazine, I tried to use some of the shots and capture the essence of a typical music magazine in my photos.
A good photo shoot but patsy must have been freezing!! Maybe choose 3 that you think would work for the front cover then get people to vote? I would suggest one of the close up/mid close up/mid shots which allow us to see how properly but also has a bit of space for cover lines. The longer shots might be better for your dps.
